How it works

Enter where your decision is.

There is no mandatory pipeline. The movements below describe everything Velkor does; a given engagement uses the ones the decision actually requires.

    Requirement

We establish what you are buying, in what quantity, to what specification, and what the decision actually depends on.

  • 02If sourcing

    Search

Where no supplier is named yet, we identify candidates against the agreed criteria and approach them directly.

  • 03Usually

    Verification

The six checkpoints, run on the supplier or on each shortlisted candidate, to the scope agreed with you.

  • 04If comparing

    Comparison

Where there is more than one option, offers are normalised onto a single specification and set side by side.

  • 05If engaged

    Coordination

Production follow-up, staged inspection, documentation and packing, carried through to dispatch.

Everything we gathered stays with you — dossier, evidence, correspondence and contacts.

Shape of an engagement

A process you can stop.

01

You can enter anywhere

Most engagements begin at verification, because a supplier is already in play. Sourcing briefs begin earlier. Coordination briefs begin after a decision has been made.

02

You can stop anywhere

A verification that ends in a clear answer is a complete engagement. There is no requirement to continue into sourcing, comparison or coordination.

03

Scope is a decision, not a default

A first order of modest value does not warrant the same work as a production line commitment. What is in scope is agreed with you before anything starts.

Coordination · stagesIllustrative
  1. Purchase order placed
  2. Raw material confirmed
  3. First article reviewed
  4. Production follow-upIn progress
  5. Pre-dispatch inspectionWhere scoped
  6. Documentation and packing check

Which stages apply is agreed with you. No fixed sequence is assumed.

Scope

Scope is agreed, not packaged.

Velkor does not sell fixed tiers. The activities below may form part of an engagement; which of them apply is agreed with you before any work begins.

Public record review

Registration, statutory status and related particulars, reviewed against records that are publicly available.

Subject to what is on the record

Document review

Certificates, test reports, quotations and export documentation — reviewed for issuer, validity, scope and relevance to what you are buying.

Subject to what is provided

Structured supplier questioning

Written questions put to the supplier against your specification, with the responses recorded as given.

Responses recorded, not assumed

Comparison against your specification

Where more than one offer is in play, offers are put onto a single specification so the differences are visible.

Where more than one offer exists

Physical site visit

A visit to the premises, where this is specifically scoped and can be arranged. Not part of every engagement and not assumed.

Optional · where scoped and available

Coordination through to dispatch

Production follow-up, inspection at agreed stages, documentation and packing checks.

Where you engage us past the decision

What can be established depends on what records exist and what the supplier makes available. Where something cannot be established, that is written down as plainly as what can — and you are told before you commit, not after.

How it works

Describe the decision. We'll shape the work.

Most briefs take a few minutes to write. We come back with what can be established, what would be in scope, and what that would involve.
